Date of first appearance of coronal hole in EUV at east limb: 2021-12-12
Note: This high speed stream arrival may be accompanied by the combined arrival of the flank of the 2021-12-14T17:38Z CME and the leading edge of the 2012-12-15T05:00Z CME, resulting in a mixed signature. The density drops sharply and the temperature sharply increases around 18:00Z. The solar wind speed was already elevated by the potential CME arrivals to approximately 450 km/s. After the HSS arrival, the speed increased to around 550 km/s.
